We had our community application approved back in March 2019...

Thanks to the Woodland Trust volunteers and Winchburgh primary schools pupils, parents and SRUC will have the opportunity to plant a new tree supported by Oatridge college, SRUC on Thursday 19th March from 1pm! All learning and growing together...

Winchburgh Community Growing Group took delivery of 420 wildlife trees from The Woodland Trust in November 2019...
These will establish food and shelter for wildlife/birds and create a living legacy for future generations to come and create a new Winchburgh Woodland next to the school. Supported by WDL the decision was made to plant on the existing area within the school to support the Eco groups area.

Delivery consists of 420 with local species: hawthorn, rowan, blackthorn, silver birch, hazel, common oak.
This equates to an entire football pitch or around 100 metres of double-row hedge to be planted on Thursday 19th March 2020!

Growing food for everyone in Winchburgh - including food for wildlife.

Thanks to everyone who signed up, look out for more information in our spring newsletter (please check junk folder too)
