Winchburgh Bowling Club - Lawn Bowling

Anyone enjoying a game of bowls at Winchburgh Bowling Club can now enjoy strawberries from the tower or grab a courgette. Bowling ball shaped produce such as peas, tomatoes and onions have also been planted...
Winchburgh Bowling Club has been part of our community for over 105 years and is situated at the end of Craigton Place next to the Community Centre.

It is a not for profit, membership organisation where you will be made to feel welcome if you are a bowler, a member of the community coming to exercise classes, hiring the hall for a private function, coming to see a live band or simply popping in for chat and refreshment in the members lounge.

Members worked hard to get the Green and club ready for the Opening Day on 21st April which was a great success.
Recently an open week let new bowlers come down and try bowls, by doing increased membership by 15%.

The bowling club are looking forward to kicking off coaching for new members and working in partnership with the schools to introduce Bowling to a new generation. A variety of exercise classes for all ages are also held Monday to Saturday.

The generously proportioned function suite, affectionately known as 'The Big Hall' to members, can hold up to 180 people and can be hired for all events from children's birthday parties to Weddings and Funerals.

Gillian Wells recently completed the ‘I'm here pledge’. This shows that jogscotland leaders have completed mental health awareness training provided by SAMH and that they will actively encourage more mental health conversations within our groups. I'm here means we're happy to talk openly about mental health.
Jog leaders will pledge I'm here:
- To help you enjoy being active
- To help you achieve your goals
- To help you feel part of a community where you can be yourself
- To encourage you
- To listen
- To believe in you when you feel you can't
- To be open to conversations about mental health and wellbeing
But most of all I'm here for YOU!
